Not only is this so-called wild and wonderful region home to the picturesque Appalachians and Seneca Rocks, it's also a central connection point for bustling metropolises such as Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., and Charlotte. Most people will start their journey from the Yeager Airport in Charleston because of its proximity to the capital city and the inevitably cheaper flight prices. Others may choose a more off-the-beaten-path point of entry, especially if visiting the university or the many attractions dotted along the mountains. This airport also only offers commercial flights operated by Contour, flying in and out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
